PROJECT BACKGROUND

Southern Avenue, Capitol Heights, MD

The Ascent is a large-scale master plan and multifamily housing development in Capitol Heights, MD, approximately 25 minutes outside the District.  Upon completion, The Ascent will provide 303 units of market-rate housing and 75 units of workforce housing, along with 12,000 Sq. Ft. of retail and related common areas and amenity spaces.  This proposed transit-oriented development presents both design and construction challenges given the complex topography presented by the site.
